Band 4 Support Time and Recovery Worker - Bristol

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker to join our Integrated Non-Custodial Services (INCS) Liaison and Diversion Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multi-agency environment, supporting people who come into contact with the criminal justice system and who may have mental health needs, , or other vulnerabilities.

Based across Bridewell Police Station and Probation Service in central Bristol, you will work closely with registered practitioners, probation colleagues, and community organisations to support individuals in accessing the services they need. You will provide practical and emotional support, helping people overcome barriers to engagement, improve their wellbeing, and reduce the risk of further offending.

You will be part of a supportive and innovative team committed to improving outcomes for individuals who are often underserved and face multiple disadvantages. Main duties of the job

• Supporting service users to engage with health, social care and voluntary sector services.
• Working alongside mental health practitioners and probation staff to develop and implement support plans.
• Building trusting relationships with individuals who may be reluctant to engage with services.
• Assisting with transitions between criminal justice, health and community settings.
• Providing advocacy and practical support to promote independence and recovery.
• Contributing to reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
• Maintaining accurate records and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
