An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional leader to joinGloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (GHC) as the host employer for the Gloucestershire Provider Partnership (GPP). The GPP brings together Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire's GP Collaborative to deliver transformational change and greater integration across health and care services in Gloucestershire. Working alongside system partners including the Integrated Care Board, Gloucestershire County Council and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, the partnership is committed to improving outcomes, reducing inequalities and delivering more joined-up, proactive care for local communities.
While employed by GHC, you will operate on behalf of the partnership, providing system-wide leadership to deliver the GPP's ambitions for community mental health and urgent mental health care transformation. There are 2 other Programme Directors for UEC and Neighbourhood Health (Frailty) and a Director of Transformation and PMO being recruited concurrently, who will provide a peer network for the post holder.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced and credible leader who:
- Has a successful track record of delivering large-scale transformation and service redesign within complex health and care systems.
- Brings significant experience of mental health services, programme leadership and partnership working.
- Can influence and build consensus across organisational and professional boundaries.
- Has the strategic thinking, resilience and leadership skills to deliver change in a complex and evolving environment.
- Is passionate about improving mental health outcomes and designing services around the needs of local communities.

This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organisations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.
