General Manager - Private Patient Services: Band 8b
It's an exciting time to join the Private Patients Team at Gloucestershire Hospitals Foundation Trust. We have a newly formed leadership team alongside plans to open a dedicated Private Patient ward and outpatient facility. As a consequence we are now looking to recruit a talented and experienced operational manager to support our Private Patient services team. You will be working with an innovative and committed team who are enthusiastic to bring forward a range of new developments to take progress this service. We are looking for an individual to join us and to drive both the daily operational work associated with the service but also a range of developmental projects and initiatives.
We are looking for candidates who have experience in NHS management, or independent healthcare, as well as enthusiasm and drive, with the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve what is required for our patients, staff and services. Main duties of the job
The post requires candidates with the ability to engage with a range of staff in a complex environment and manage relationships with a wide range of senior colleagues both clinical and non-clinical. You will be able to problem-solve, have good communication skills, and a strong understanding of service management both within the NHS, also in-with the independent sectir. You will have experience of delivering programmes of work, leading teams, supporting daily operational challenges including patient flow, improving Private Patients' offering and experience and dive growth in Private Patient income.
Specifically, we are looking for candidates who can:
- Support our staff, develop our team members, support wellbeing and act with integrity.
-Work with a range of services and specialties within the area supporting day-to-day operational challenges, but with an eye to future revenue development opportunities.
-Lead on and drive forward development plans for a range of services, supporting our teams and being responsive to the demand and capacity pressures placed upon them.
-Contribute and support the financial position through strong activity and revenue forecasting, identifying new opportunities and reporting progress through Private Patient Sub-Committee meetings.
-Facilitate and support both transformation and business planning in line with the Trust Strategy.
- Support specialty operational delivery, linked to the Trust strategic objectives.
