About the role

As HR & Recruitment administrator you will work with the HR and Recruitment Manager to make sure staff have the right skills, knowledge and understanding to safely meet the needs of the business in line with CQC regulations. Be the main point of contact for each vacancy, receiving requests for application packs, answering any queries relating to the role and ensure that all packs are sent out. As well as all recruitment related responsibilities, you will also assist the HR and Recruitment manager with audits, compliance and HR checks as well as carry out new starter supervisions.

The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge in the adult health and social care sector, experience in recruitment or customer service. Basic knowledge around sponsorship duties is also desirable.

Main responsibilities

  • To answer and direct calls for the department.
  • To respond to emails and telephone calls in a timely manner
  • To complete specific tasks set by the department manager.
  • Attend meetings
  • Arrange and attend interviews
  • Data entry. Ensuring the safe storage of data to comply with GDPR regulations
  • Communicate with officials or family for the chosen department.
  • To perform tasks in a timely manner.
  • Make phone calls to suppliers or staff members regarding specific matters of the department.
  • Printing, scanning, emails, ordering stock.
  • Completing task lists set by department manager.
  • To maintain own work area to an organised and professional standard
  • To maintain and update spreadsheets as required by the department
  • Any other reasonable request set out by the department manager or above in relation to the department needs.
  • Managing recruitment advertising across job boards and sourcing, planning and attending recruitment fairs.
  • Maintain electronic monitoring systems related to Recruitment and HR
  • Ensure compliance with all office systems and procedures. Assist in the production of recruitment and HR reports and management information as required.
  • Undertake duties in relation to the recruitment process, dealing with enquiries, booking into interview, carrying out interviews for a range of roles within the organisation, managing the recruitment process from start to finish.
  • Coordinating and administering the recruitment of care staff, ensuring compliance with UK immigration requirements, sponsorship regulations, and ongoing reporting using the sponsorship management system.
  • Onboarding applicants onto to company induction programme, ensuring all applicants have full satisfactory references and DBS checks in a timely manner
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation surrounding recruitment, international recruitment and HR best practice, specifically those related to the care industry.
  • Maintain up to date audits and compliance records
  • Complete introduction supervision with new care staff.
  • Prepare and complete care staff probation reviews, following company policies and processes when extending or ending staff probations.
  • Support managers with employee relations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management.
  • Liaising with specialist external HR professionals and disseminating their advice through appropriate communication channels to the appropriate persons.
  • Leading or supporting investigations, ensuring fairness and compliance with legislation.
  • Helping to deliver HR projects including employee engagement, retention and organisational change.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring compliance with GDPR and right-to-work requirements.

Salary: £25,521 to £27,601 Annual +

Hours Per Week: Full Time
