We are recruiting for an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Adult ADHD Team. We are a busy, supportive and motivated service working with adults with ADHD who present with a range of complex needs. Our team is committed to delivering evidence-based assessment, treatment and medication management in line with NICE guidance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Prescriber to take on a senior clinical role within an established multidisciplinary team. You will provide specialist prescribing, medication titration and physical health monitoring, as well as offering clinical advice and support to colleagues.
You will be well supported by the Team Manager and have access to regular clinical guidance from our Consultant Psychiatrist.
Main duties of the job
To work as an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber in partnership with the service user and act as lead specialist in Non-Medical Prescribing for service users with enduring substance misuse conditions.
Conducting assessments on service users, care co-ordinating, long term casework, purchasing of services and supervision of staff are some of the core activities of the post. Working collaboratively with other disciplines and other teams in the prison and community are essential to ensure acomprehensive service is provided to the local population. As a senior member of the team the post holder will need to demonstrate sound leadership skills and be able to manage high levels of responsibility.
