At Gloucestershire Hospitals, we welcome Newly Registered Nurses (qualified or qualifying this academic year from a local University such as UOG, UWE or UOW) to join our teams across a wide range of clinical settings. If you've trained with us during your placements, this is a great opportunity to continue your career within a supportive and familiar environment, where you can build on your experience and develop your confidence as a registered nurse.
You will be fully supported as you transition from student to registered nurse, working alongside experienced nursing and healthcare professionals who are committed to helping you grow your clinical skills and confidence in practice.
We offer a comprehensive 12-month Preceptorship Programme designed to support your development and professional growth. As part of this, you will also have the opportunity to undertake a Level 7 Preceptorship Module at the University of Gloucestershire, providing a strong foundation for both academic and career progression.

Main duties of the job
o Demonstrate ability to assess patient condition, develop and implement appropriate care, within the multidisciplinary team.o To communicate effectively, especially where patient ability to do so is compromised.o Ability to disseminate contentious and delicate information appropriately.o To deliver safe care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate.o To administer medication and treatment within Procedure for the Ordering, Prescribing and Administration of Medication Guidelineso To deliver and receive information which may cause emotional distress to all parties.o Participate in mentorship and educational programmes for students and other members of the team.o To adhere to all Trust policies and procedures and professional code of conducto Regularly responsible for the supervision and mentorship for unqualified, qualified staff and students.o To input and retrieve patient and staff information from computer-based systems
