We are currently seeking a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team to support our network of nursing home settings. As an RGN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents. Take Five Healthcare is committed to delivering exceptional standards of care, and we are looking for a skilled and compassionate RGN to contribute to our mission.
As an RGN, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities while on assignment; however, it is not exhaustive:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of residents’ health and care needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to established protocols
- Monitoring and evaluating residents’ physical and mental well-being, promptly identifying any changes or concerns and taking appropriate action
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care delivery
- Providing support and guidance to care staff, promoting a positive working environment and maintaining effective communication
- Responding to emergencies, effectively managing crisis situations, and providing immediate medical assistance when necessary
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Advocating for residents’ rights and preferences, respecting their dignity, privacy, and cultural beliefs
- Participating in training and development activities, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills in nursing practice.
To excel in the role of an RGN an ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Registered Nurse qualification (RGN) and current active registration with the NMC
- Proven experience and competence in delivering high-quality nursing care in a nursing home or similar setting
- Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and manage complex care needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with residents, families, and the care team
- Empathy, compassion, and a person-cantered approach to care, prioritizing residents’ well-being and comfort
- Sound knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and best practices in nursing and elderly care
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle challenging situations with professionalism and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up-to-date with advancements in nursing practice.
