An opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join the service on a permanent basis

The post holder will work as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner in the Learning Disability CAMHS to ensure a clinically effective, high quality Intensive Positive Behaviour Support Service (iPBS) is provided to children and young people and their families/carers.

Right to Work in the UK This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application, as the organisation is unable to support sponsorship for this post.

Main duties of the job

To work as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner in the Learning Disability CAMHS to ensure a clinicallyeffective, high quality Intensive Positive Behaviour Support Service (iPBS) is provided to children andyoung people and their families/carers.

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary service under the direction of the iPBS Service Lead in the delivery of intensive positive behaviour support assessments and interventions to children and theirfamilies with complex needs.

The post holder will provide support and health promotion as well as working with a Clinical Psychologist to offer assessment and intervention to children and young people and their families/carers, working within iPBS

The post holder will support in the assessment of the complex needs (including functional assessment) and the delivery of interventions to improve the complex behaviour issues in children and young people under the direction of the Clinical Psychologist.

The post holder will deliver intervention programmes to children and young people in their specialist educational settings, short break provision and their home setting.

The post holder will be willing and able to work between 7am and 7pm as needed.
