Job summary
This is an exciting, varied and challenging position and a fantastic opportunity to work in a temporary post (covering maternity leave) as part of a small team and provide inpatient and outpatient therapy for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) patients (adults) under the guidance of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Clinical Psychologists. This post forms 1 of 2 Senior Rehab Assistants in this service. The Brain Injury Team is a multidisciplinary team delivering services to adults with brain injury - in hospital and in the community.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will use the principles of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy in an integrated and client-centred way, to promote independence and facilitate rehabilitation.
This will be achieved by implementing delegated treatment plans and facilitating rehabilitation within agreed limitations through exercise, physical modalities and the use of occupation.
The post holder will assess and manage delegated patients with mobility and occupational difficulties, reporting back to the registered practitioner as necessary
