Applications from Band 6 dietitians with a strong interest in renal nutrition and relevant transferable experience will also be considered. Renal experience is desirable given the specialist nature of the service.
You will be joining a supportive team engaged in service development, quality improvement and renal research, maintaining high standards of care for patients with complex needs.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a specialist service while benefiting from flexible working arrangements within an established and collaborative team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide specialist dietetic assessment and management for patients with complex renal needs across inpatient wards, outpatient clinics and dialysis services. This Band 6 bank role requires sound clinical reasoning, effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within the renal multidisciplinary team. You will liaise with consultants, nurses and allied health professionals to support coordinated, patient-centred care.
You will be expected to manage and prioritise your own workload during allocated bank shifts, demonstrating flexibility, initiative and appropriate autonomy. Given the specialist nature of renal nutrition, previous experience in renal dietetics or relevant transferable clinical experience is desirable.
The role offers the opportunity to maintain or further develop renal dietetic skills within an established and supportive team. The service is engaged in audit, quality improvement and ongoing service development, and there may be opportunities to contribute to these activities where appropriate. Involvement in student training or peer support may also form part of the role, depending on experience.
Some cross-site working may be required in line with service needs. We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible or part-time working arrangements within a bank contract.
