The Paediatric Bladder and Bowel Care Service is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated nurse to join our dynamic team at Gloucestershire Hospitals.
We provide a nurse-led specialist service across Gloucestershire, delivering clinics within community settings alongside home and school visits to ensure children and families receive the support they need in the environments that matter most. In this autonomous role, you will manage your own caseload while being supported by a highly experienced and dedicated team, with excellent opportunities for training, professional development, and specialist skill building.

Main duties of the job
Manage a caseload of children by delivering face-to-face and telephone clinics, conducting comprehensive bladder and bowel assessments, and developing individualised care plans.
Design and implement specialist care plans for children with complex needs providing expert guidance on bladder and bowel management, including support with Clean Intermittent Catheterisation (CIC) and anal irrigation.
Maintain accurate and timely records including clinic notes, correspondence with GPs and other essential documentation to ensure continuity of care.
Collaborate with paediatricians and the wider multidisciplinary team in clinics to deliver coordinated, holistic care tailored to each child's needs.
Assess and manage continence products, ensuring appropriate provision, reviewing usage.
Safeguard children by following relevant policies and procedures, attending child protection meetings, preparing reports, and working closely with social workers when required.
Provide expert guidance on continence promotion to the multidisciplinary team, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting colleagues in best practice.
Work collaboratively within a small, supportive team, demonstrating empathy, respect, and excellent communication in all interactions.
Stay up to date with advances in paediatric continence care, integrating best practice and professional development into daily clinical work.
