Church Street is part of Inspire Healthcare who has five practice sites across Cheltenham, Tewkesbury & Cirencester. We currently employ 26 doctors, 35 nurses and over 50 non-clinical staff to care for our 34,000 patients (with our list sizes growing every day!).

Health Care Assistant (two posts available)
Salary range: £13.41 per hour depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Post One: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
To be worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday& Thursday (working pattern available upon request)
Post Two: Part-Time, 18 Hours per week
To be worked Mondays and Fridays.
Location: Tewkesbury
You will need:
• Relevant experience, which includes skills such as stitch removal, ECGS, dressings, wound care management, samples processing, urinalysis and vaccinations. These are just of few of the variety of skills within the role, along with the lifestyle advice in managing long term conditions.
You would be working alongside a part of a team but also autonomously with effective time management skills and patient appointment bookings.
Future role development for the right candidate if a requirement is needed in surgery
• Take a holistic approach to lifestyle advice on diet, smoking, alcohol intake and exercise.
• Undertaking long-term condition health checks and liaising with the relevant nurses.
• Good standard of education including qualification in English and Maths (GCSE grade A-C, or equivalent)
• Use of clinical IT systems
• Knowledge of Information Governance and Caldicott Principles
• Understanding of Clinical Governance
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Excellent interpersonal skills and time management
• Experience in Phlebotomy is desirable but not essential, for the right candidate, training will be provided.
• Flexible to meet the demands of the post and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
