Retain Healthcare, a leading provider of Homecare staffing, Agency staffing, and Social Care Training across the South West, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll and Finance Assistant to join our team of three.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll manage the full payroll cycle and support finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes:

- End-to-end payroll processing: starters, leavers, statutory deductions (SMP, SPP, SSP, SAP), and year-end reports
- Handle BACS payments and Attachment of Earnings
- Prepare P11Ds, P60s, P45s, and ad-hoc payments like holiday pay
- Resolve employee payroll queries with professionalism
- Process sales invoices and assist the Finance Manager with general finance tasks

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience with payroll software (Sage or similar) and accounting tools like Xero (preferred)
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a team
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
