Experienced Gardener

We're looking for an experienced Gardener to join our team, working across mainly private gardens and estates throughout the Cotswolds.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong plant knowledge and a proven track record in gardening, who can work independently, take responsibility for the standard of a site, and support less experienced team members. You'll be confident advising clients on planting and maintenance, and comfortable taking the lead on site day to day.

## Essential requirements

- Minimum of 3–5 years' hands-on gardening experience, or a recognised horticultural qualification (e.g. RHS Level 2 or above)
- Strong plant knowledge and confidence advising on planting, pruning and seasonal maintenance
- Ability to work independently and take the lead on site
- Current, clean driving licence
- Good attention to detail and a high standard of finish
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
- Good communication skills — confident liaising with clients

## Desired skills

- Experience with soft landscaping: planting installations, basic timber work and turfing
- Knowledge of irrigation systems
- Time management
- First Aid certificate (an advantage)

## Main responsibilities

- Planting, pruning and seasonal garden maintenance across a range of sites
- Planting installs and turf laying as part of soft landscaping work
- Maintaining borders, lawns and hedges to a high standard
- Advising clients on plant care and garden maintenance
- Leading and supporting less experienced team members on site
- Maintenance of site and company equipment
- Liaising with the office/Project Manager on scheduling and site needs

## Things to consider

- The role is physically demanding and involves working outdoors in all weathers
- Some heavy lifting is involved — a good level of fitness is expected
