Ranger Horticulture

Stroud Town Council is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Green Spaces team.

The team is made up of three rangers, a Green Spaces Manager, a Green Spaces Assistant and a Street Cleaning and Maintenance Operative. In partnership with the community, our rangers maintain and enhance the Town Council’s Green Spaces, both as public amenities and for their conservation value.

The core tasks for each of the three ranger roles are the same, but each ranger has a focus on a specific area – for this position the focus is on horticulture.

Teamwork and co-operation between all members of staff is central to Stroud Town Council’s ethos. Also, the staff and work of the Green Spaces team has a high public profile so the ranger must maintain good two-way communication with the public, volunteer groups, members of Council, Green Spaces team members, other Council staff and partner organisations.
