Housekeeping Assistant

Location: Sudeley Castle, Gloucestershire
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at the historic Sudeley Castle. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our visitor areas, offices, gardens, and holiday accommodation, helping to ensure an excellent experience for all guests and event attendees.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning visitor areas including toilets, exhibition spaces, and castle rooms
- Emptying bins across the site and carrying out litter picking in the gardens and grounds
- Cleaning castle offices and staff areas
- Cleaning on-site holiday cottages when required
- Supporting evening events when scheduled, including pre- and post-event cleaning
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team
About You
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
- A strong work ethic with good attention to detail
- Able to manage physical tasks and work in a large outdoor/heritage environment
- Flexible and reliable, including weekend and occasional evening work
- Due to the location of the castle and holiday cottages, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is strongly preferred
