HR Generalist

Our well established, successful, and constantly developing client is currently looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join their friendly team Gloucestershire on a full-time, permanent basis based across two sites; Stroud and Gloucester, both with free parking on site.
Hours: 37.5h pw: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (early finish Fridays at 4pm) – fully based onsite.
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum + benefits including;

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will provide comprehensive operational HR support across five UK sites (approx. 300 employees), working closely with the wider HR team, plus managers and employees across two divisions. This is a varied and hands-on HR role, covering the full employee lifecycle and providing guidance across employee relations, onboarding, recruitment, training, policies and general HR administration.
The role would suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied generalist position and is confident working with managers and employees at all levels. You will need to have strong communication and organisational skills, alongside the confidence to provide advice, coach and influence others and support the business through change.
Duties
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Support managers with employee relations matters.
- Manage absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Conduct inductions and exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Prepare HR documentation, including offer and termination letters.
- Support training and development activities.
- Assist with reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Produce HR reports on headcount, turnover and retention.
- Support change management initiatives.
- Assist with external audits and HR compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and procedures.
- Provide general HR administration support.
Key Attributes
- Previous experience in a similar HR Generalist role.
- Experience working within a multisite organisation.
- Practical experience of employee relations processes.
- Able to manage a busy and varied workload, planning and managing your time effectively.
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000
