About Gloucestershire MNVP
Gloucestershire MNVP is the formal partner of Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Gloucestershire Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS), responsible for providing the voice of service users to inform the development of maternity and neonatal care across the county.
We support the LMNS to ensure services are delivered in a kind, personal and safe way by making sure the service user voice is central to all decision making and quality oversight. This enables the ICB to fulfil its responsibilities in line with the three-year delivery plan for maternity and neonatal services in England.
We work with key senior stakeholders across the LMNS to champion coproduction, critical friendship, and meaningful involvement. We engage with people who have recently used local maternity and neonatal services, listening to their experiences and feedback. We share their insight with the Integrated Care System and the maternity and neonatal service providers it commissions, to make sure people’s opinions are at the heart of shaping local services.
Gloucestershire MNVP is hosted by Evolving Communities which specialises in delivering high quality engagement and support to help local people and organisations shape the way health and social care services are run in their communities.
The role
You will be responsible for delivering the MNVP’s objectives, using your influence to drive the delivery of highly effective, visible change that improves people’s experience of maternity and neonatal care in Gloucestershire.
You will lead and manage the Gloucestershire MNVP team and work programme, ensuring we reach service users and diverse communities across Gloucestershire, including groups who are marginalised and who experience barriers to quality care, and work with them to co-create meaningful change.
You will represent Gloucestershire MNVP at local, regional and national meetings and events, providing independent challenge and scrutiny based on insights gathered from service users, parents, cares, and professionals involved in co-production and engagement projects.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Strategic Lead who has lived experience of maternity or neonatal services and professional understanding and experience of leading work with partners and diverse stakeholders to inform and drive transformation and quality surveillance.
You will be an excellent collaborator, communicator and manager, who enjoys fostering an inclusive team approach to problem solving and strategic decision making. Highly organised, confident and calm under pressure, you will understand how to communicate complex information accessibly and with impact to a broad range of stakeholders to influence positive and meaningful change.
Above all, you will be committed to making a real difference in maternity and neonatal care for all service users.
Not sure you meet all qualifications? Let us decide! Research shows that people from under-represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when, in fact, they often do! We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.
