Description
We are looking for a Learning and Development Administrator who can join our Learning and Development Administration team based at the Sabrina Centre in Berkeley.
In this fast paced environment you will support the team to deliver excellent customer service, provide an efficient service to the organisation and be part of a cohesive team that works in a flexible way to approach new challenges as they arise.
The department is based at our Learning and Development centre, providing a modern and inviting environment for delegates. Part of the role will be to support the organisation of a range of corporate events at the centre.
You will be working for the Learning and Development Managers alongside a colleague. The team have responsibilities for various areas of the business such new officer training programmes, leadership development, driver training, and supporting the student Passing out Parades.
The role is based at Sabrina Centre in Berkeley.
Daily duties will include:
- To coordinate all administrative processes in relation to all Learning & Development Programmes, courses bookings, evaluations and maintaining efficient and accurate training records.
- Populate on system courses and events, booking and arranging of resource and travel where required.
- To build and maintain excellent working relationship with the Duty Planning Team.
- Preparation and maintenance of course and event materials for example documents, print, books, certificates and course stationery, etc.
- Draft reports, Force Bulletins and control Intranet entries for the Learning and Development function, communicating with the relevant functions to facilitate this.
- Provide data reports from the training database and other relevant software.
Essential Skills are:
- GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information and to display discretion at all times
- Ability to research, analyse, problem solve and present viable solutions in line with policies and procedure
Fixed Term contract 12 months, 37hrs per week
Core hours will be Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00
24 days annual leave in the first year for full time staff

The successful candidate for this role will be vetted at level Staff RV. This means the individual will need at least 3 years worth of residency in the UK.
Notice for internal candidates: this role is advertised as a fixed-term contract. In the event that you successfully interview for this role, you will accept the role on either a secondment or fixed-term contract basis.
You will only be offered a secondment subject to your current Line Manager’s approval - please note that there is no guarantee that management will agree to the secondment and there is no obligation for them to do so. It is advisable to liaise with management to see if a secondment would be supported before submitting an application.
In the event that you are offered the role as a fixed-term contract, you should be aware that you have no right to return to your previous role and will leave the force when your contract ends. In the event that you have accrued two years’ continuous service when your contract ends, you may be eligible to be added to the redeployment register, however it is not guaranteed that we will be able to offer you a suitable alternative. When accepting the role on a fixed-term basis, you take the personal risk that your employment with the force may end at the end of the contract.
