1:1 Teaching Assistant
Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Dean Close Prep School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic learning support teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 basis. This is a fixed term part-time position, working 20 hours per week, during term time.
Working closely with the Class Teacher, Subject Specialists, SENCO, parents, and other professionals, you will provide personalised support both within and outside the classroom. You will play a key role in helping a child overcome barriers to learning, develop independence, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential.
This position presents an excellent opportunity for either a teacher-trained individual or a highly experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, a good understanding of SEND, and the ability to promote learning, wellbeing and independence.
