A202 SEND Learning Support Assistant (SLD Specialist)

In this varied role, you will provide personalised support to learners with additional needs, helping them take part in college life, achieve their EHCP outcomes, and develop independence skills. Working closely with tutors, families, and external professionals, you will support learners in college, community, and work-based settings. You will contribute to learner progress through effective communication, accurate record-keeping, and a commitment to inclusive practice. Training and ongoing professional development will be provided to support you in the role.
About You
- Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ideally in a special school or specialist post-16 setting.
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or Level 2 equivalent), or a willingness to work towards these qualifications.
