Role Summary

As an AP Tutor at Linked-Learning Ltd, you will deliver personalised learning for KS1 -KS 2 and KS3–KS4 pupils with SEMH needs, AP pathways, or complex barriers to engagement. You will provide 1:1 and small group sessions that reflect Linked-Learning’s commitment to high quality teaching, strong relationships, and consistent safeguarding practice.

Safeguarding & Child Protection Responsibilities

• Uphold Linked-Learning’s safeguarding policy and procedures
• Recognise, respond to, and report concerns in line with KCSIE and Working Together to Safeguard Children
• Record concerns clearly and promptly using Linked Learning’s reporting systems
• Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to support casework
• Maintain professional boundaries and model safe practice at all times
• Contribute to a regulated, safe learning environment
• Attend safeguarding training and refreshers as required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated learning tailored to individual EHCPs and AP plans
• Build strong, trauma informed relationships with pupils
• Track progress and produce clear, professional reports
• Work collaboratively with the DSL, SENCO, and external agencies
• Maintain excellent safeguarding practice at all times
• Contribute to Linked-Learning’s positive, regulated learning environment

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience in AP, SEMH, or specialist education settings
• Strong behaviour regulation and relational practice
• Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning
• Confident in adapting curriculum content to individual needs
• Clear, professional communication and record keeping
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within AP

Desirable

• Experience delivering core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
• Knowledge of trauma informed and therapeutic education approaches
• Experience supporting pupils with complex needs or EHCPs

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
