A welcoming mainstream primary school in Gloucester is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them build confidence, develop their skills and engage positively with learning.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide personalised 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Help children engage positively with lessons and classroom activities.
  • Support pupils to develop their academic, social, emotional and communication skills.
  • Build positive relationships with children while encouraging confidence and independence.
  • Work alongside teachers and other professionals to support individual pupil needs.

The Learning Support Assistant role offers the opportunity to become part of a welcoming and inclusive school community while gaining valuable experience supporting children within a mainstream primary setting. As a Learning Support Assistant you will play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
