Would you relish the opportunity to teach students A level Graphic Communication within a college setting?

The Faculty of Humanities is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer of Graphic Communication to join our dynamic and forward-thinking college.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in A Level Graphic Communication, inspiring students to develop creative, technical and critical skills in visual communication.

You will demonstrate a genuine passion for education, a commitment to facilitating student success, and be skilled in engaging and motivating students, committed to fostering a positive, inclusive and aspirational learning environment. You will play a vital role in shaping and facilitating learners’ confidence, academic skills, and long-term aspirations, preparing them for progression into higher education, apprenticeships or careers within the creative industries.

Furthermore, you will teach surrounded by a committed and supportive team who will readily share resources and best practice, as well as offering support whenever required. Within this environment, we would help you further develop as a practitioner, as you in turn develop your students.

The post holder will be expected to:

Deliver high-quality teaching in A Level Graphic Communication, supporting a diverse range of learners.
Be willing to teach, in-part, across other subjects if required (dependent on skills).
Engage in ongoing professional development and college-wide improvement initiatives to develop the skills and resources to deliver truly outstanding provision.
Demonstrate a relentless commitment to facilitating exceptional learning to enable all students to achieve their full potential.
Demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
Possess the ability to truly work as a team player as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Contribute to the design and development of engaging, accessible and challenging lessons, as well as the continued development of the Graphic Communication course.
Monitor and track student progress, providing tailored feedback and intervention.
Effectively prepare students for non-examined assessments and examined assessments.
Possess either proven experience in industry or a good honours degree in a related subject (or a combination of both). Ideally you will hold a teaching qualification or be committed to obtain a suitable qualification once in post.
