About the Role
Do you want to train adults to gain the skills and confidence they need to move into work, training, or further learning?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Tutor to deliver one or more of the following:
- High‑quality employability courses e.g. CV writing, Interview Skills, Job Searching and Matching, Application Forms
- Personal and social development e.g. Confidence Building, Building Effective Routines, Goal Setting, Building Effective Relationships, Wellbeing for Work
- IAG‑focused courses
- Sector Specific courses e.g. Catering, Cleaning, Hospitality, Retail, Health and Safety, Health and Social Care.
- Digital Skills courses e.g. AI, Social Media, Microsoft Office, Emails etc.
- Wellbeing courses e.g. Mental Health Awareness, Mindfulness and Meditation, Breathwork, Wellbeing Toolkit, Personal Resilience, Ayurveda, chakras
- Family Learning courses (with primary school experience) e.g. Understanding your neurodiverse child, Support your Child with Maths/English, Wellbeing for Families
You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering high‑quality learning programmes that make a real difference across our county and to people's lives.
About You
- Plan and deliver engaging learning in community settings to adults across Gloucestershire.
- Assess learner needs, track progress, and record achievements.
- Embed English, maths, digital and language skills into your sessions.
- Support adults with diverse learning needs and help them move on to their next steps.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance.
- Provide high‑quality information, advice and guidance.
- Work collaboratively as part of a friendly, supportive team.
- Experience teaching adults or community groups from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Ability to design learner‑centred programmes.
- Confident use of digital tools in teaching e.g. Outlook, Powerpoint, Youtube, Apps
- Strong communication skills and a flexible, positive approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Level 3 Education & Training (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience
- Level 2 English and maths
- Competent use of Microsoft Office Programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook Emails and Calendar management.
- Confidence or willingness to learn usage of Learner Management Systems
- Willingness to upskill in other areas of delivery
- Due to the nature of the role you must be able to drive across the county

This Position is subject to an enhanced and barred DBS check.
