Construction Lecturer (Multi-Skills)
Full-Time Permanent
We are working with a well-established, industry-focused college in Gloucestershire, based in Gloucester, who are seeking a Construction Lecturer to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled construction professional or an experienced lecturer to support learners in developing practical skills and industry knowledge across construction trades.
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent Full-time
The Role
You will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across construction disciplines in both workshop and classroom environments. You will support learners to achieve their qualifications while developing essential skills for employment in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and practical training in construction (multi-skills)
  • Support learners to achieve and progress through their programmes
  • Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Support learners with English and Maths where required
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs and remove barriers to learning
  • Promote health and safety within workshop and practical environments
  • Help learners understand the wider construction industry and career pathways
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and learner experience
  • Guide learners towards further learning and employment opportunities


Candidate Profile
We welcome applications from both industry professionals and experienced educators:
  • Recent, relevant experience within a construction trade
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a construction trade Essential (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Willingness to complete Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding training


Desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification (construction or related field)
  • Prior teaching experience with apprentices and/or full-time students
  • Assessor qualification
  • IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) qualification
