We require someone to work Thursdays 8.30am to 4.30pm and Fridays 8.30am to 4.00pm in our Library which is for silent study only.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking Library and Information Services Assistant to join our small Library Team. You will be working in our recently refurbished Library and as well as all the usual library tasks you would expect: processing and cataloguing books, maintaining Softlink’s Oliver library system and supervision of our silent environment; you will support the Library and Information Services Manager to curate, maintain and offer support for our growing digital delivery.
Cirencester College Library is a service which actively supports independent study, digital literacy and frequently runs information literacy sessions and workshops. You will contribute to the management of our digital library and associated workflows which include: content delivery and promotion, online reading lists and general resource discoverability. You will support the Library and Information Services Manager design engaging learning experiences through inductions, workshops, displays and targeted activities that encourage curiosity and independent learning. There will be opportunities to support enquiry‑based learning, reading for pleasure initiatives and the integration of library resources into teaching.
