The Royal Agricultural University “RAU” has been at the forefront of agricultural education
for over 180 years and is globally renowned for its links with industry and courses that are
designed to meet the demands of the changing land-based sector.
The RAU Library is the central information resource for students and researchers, containing
a wealth of knowledge in print and online. As part of the Directorate of Innovation and
Learning, the RAU Library and Archives Service works to enhance learning and promote
continuous improvement in student experience. This role plays a crucial part in delivering
high quality Library services during extended opening hours.
The successful candidates will be committed to putting customers at the heart of service
delivery, supporting day-to-day library operations. In addition, we will expect you to have
great communication skills, be able to build excellent team-working relationships and
complete tasks to a high standard. The library can be very busy and we need staff who will
respond in a calm and professional manner.
The ability to work independently, show initiative and be flexible will also be essential as this
role involves lone working (supported by CCTV and on-campus security).

Salary: Grade 3 - £3,431.70 to £3,661.20 per annum (equivalent to £23,196 – £24,685 full time)
Hours Per Week: Permanent part-time (9 hours per week, 30 weeks per year)
