Contracts Officer - Energy from Waste
Come and join our passionate and talented waste team.
The Waste Management Team manages the Waste Disposal Authority functions at Gloucestershire County Council. This is a vital role supporting the management of contracts related to the operation of the Council’s energy from waste facility and the associated sale of the electricity it generates. The role has a particular focus on data management and finance but is also varied, involving regular site visits and interaction with numerous stakeholders.
About you
You will have proven experience in the management of contracts, financial forecasting, data management and stakeholder engagement across both the public and private sectors. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. You will also have excellent communication skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences in the form of reports or presentations. You will enjoy a busy and varied working environment and have the ability to prioritise your workload on a daily basis. An understand of waste management and the energy industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
