Tool Room Technician
Birmingham
Position: Tool Room Technician
Position: permanent
Location: Birmingham
Salary £29950 to £34200 per annum
Working hours: 7am - 4pm. 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
We are now seeking to recruit a Tool Room Technician to support the tool room operations within a manufacturing facility in Birmingham. The appropriate Toolroom technician will ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and availability of tools and equipment required for production.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of tools and equipment, including machining tools, cutting tools, and precision measuring instruments, to ensure they are in proper working condition.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools and equipment and perform repairs as necessary to minimize downtime and production delays.
* Assist in the calibration of precision tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
* Assist in the assembly and disassembly of tools and equipment as needed for maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts.
* Maintain detailed documentation of all tool-related activities, including maintenance procedures, repair records, inventory transactions, and other relevant information.
What are we looking for?
* Previous experience working in a tool room or maintenance role within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
* Injection Moulding experience
* competent with conventional machining.
* Knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment, including machining tools, cutting tools, and precision measuring instruments.
* Ability to use hand and power tools effectively for maintenance and repair tasks.
