Facilities Technician

Facilities Technician

Gloucester

Ludlum Systems Limited is looking for a practical, organised Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day running of our new Gloucester facility.

This varied, hands-on role combines equipment maintenance and repair with warehouse operations, logistics and site safety. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, with support from our wider engineering and operations teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining, calibrating and repairing radiation detection instruments and associated equipment.
  • Managing deliveries, stock, packing and dispatches to support customers and field engineers.
  • Opening and locking the facility each day, keeping the premises secure and carrying out daily safety checks.
  • Monitoring the condition of the premises and coordinating maintenance requirements.
  • Keeping accurate service, calibration and inventory records.
  • Supporting site safety as the designated First Aider and Fire Marshal.
  • Occasionally assisting with installations and repairs at customer sites across the South-West.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in technical maintenance, repair or engineering, ideally involving instrumentation or electronics.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • A full manual UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
  • First Aid at Work certification and Fire Marshal training, or willingness to complete these upon appointment.

A forklift operator licence would be an advantage, but is not essential. An electrical or electronic engineering qualification, IOSH/NEBOSH certification, or experience with calibration and radiation detection equipment would also be beneficial.

If you enjoy practical problem-solving, working independently and keeping operations running smoothly, we’d like to hear from you.
