ROLE
JOB TITLE: Valve technician.
POSITION: 3-6 Month probationary with view to go Full Time (After successful completion).
START: Immediate Start Available.
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager.
SALARY: Negotiable Depending on Experience.
SUMMARY: As a Valve technician you will be required to Overhaul, test and calibrate a wide range of valves. Previous experience preferred but specific product training will be offered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to:)
The exact role may differ depending on the needs of the organisation, but some common duties of the role are to:
• Work closely with the other valve technicians.
• Be responsible for your own Workscope and Quality of work.
• A flexible and reliable approach is more important than relevant experience.
• Overhaul, test and calibrate of all types of valves.
• Workshop duties.
• On-site work will be critical to support the work we offer, may require occasional overnight stays as necessary.
• The work will involve Manual Handling, working from heights and driving thus applicants must be physically fit.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends if required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in a similar role preferred.
• You must be self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Must be I.T Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Knowledge of instrumentation or Mechatronics would be an advantage
• Forklift Trained & Valid Ticket held (Desired).
• Excellent Organisations skills with the attention to detail.
• Educated to a minimum of GCSE 4/C or above in English and Maths.
• A Full UK Driving licence
