Job Description Salary up to £45,000 inc. 20% shift allowance, depending on experience. Location Wotton Under Edge, Gloucestershire. Renishaw is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer based at our Wotton-under-Edge site. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the role requires the successful candidate to work as part of a team on a Double Day shift pattern (alternating weeks: 6am - 2pm, following week: 2pm - 10pm) with the responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of Renishaw production plant and equipment working predominately on CNC machinery. Responsibilities Carrying out preventative scheduled maintenance, electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault diagnostic processes. Including implementing the appropriate remedial/corrective actions on the following types of machinery and equipment: Mazak VCN/VCS, FJV250UHS, Integrex and Variaxis. Citizen K16 & M32, including their associated bar feed, gantry work handling and coolant systems. DMG DMU, Mori Seiki, Fanuc Robodrill, Hardinge, Doosan. Various manual machinery including, Colchester, XYZ, Bridgeport, Mach, Jones & Shipman. Process Finishing equipment to include automated deburring equipment & cleaning machines. Laser marking and laser cutting machines. Injection moulding machines and associated chiller systems. Mitsubishi, Fanuc & Kuka robotic systems. Aqueous cleaning machines. Atlas Copco Compressed air generation plant, and their associated dryers and filtration. LEV extraction systems. Demonstrating good electrically/mechanically biased machine tool knowledge and diagnostic skills. Delivering quality workmanship in terms of time, accuracy, and job feedback. Accurately assessing and communicating fault diagnostic issues and corrective actions to the supervision team. Key requirements A minimum of ONC/City and Guilds equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering. Proven expertise in CNC machine tool repair and maintenance techniques is essential including knowledge of Mitsubishi, Siemens, Fanuc & Heidenhain control systems. Desirable requirements Basic PC literacy and familiarity with current Microsoft Office packages. Previous knowledge of utilising CMMS software. Experience using counterbalance Forklifts. Experience using MEWP’s. Person specification As the successful candidate you will be a good team player with an ability to work on own initiative when required and have an aptitude for problem solving.
