We are seeking an imaginative and motivated Assistant Director of Sport (Performance) to lead our work supporting and developing student-athletes. The successful applicant will lead and embed a ‘performance’ culture across staff and pupils, maintaining high expectations and ensuring a high support approach. The role sits within a team of four Assistant Directors (Performance; Engagement; Participation; and Curriculum)who support the Director of Sport and Physical Activity.
The Assistant Director of Sport (Performance) will have fantastic insight and maintain high expectations for our performance programme, bringing best practice and innovation into a school setting.
The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the management and leadership of the department through their place in the Sport and Physical Activity Leadership team.In addition, they will be an excellent teacher, delivering high quality PE to pupils of all ages, running co-curricular clubs and taking teams for competitive sport as required.
A specialism or depth of experience in teaching and coaching Hockey is desirable but not essential.
