Typical Accountabilities

Promotes customer intimacy in both internal and external relationships and operates in a collaborative manner to encourage open and transparent relationships.

Influences business decisions throughout the governance process ensuring identification and mitigation of business risk as appropriate.

Promotes a culture of best practice and sharing of knowledge within the function and across the wider business, includes communicating potential opportunities / risks across Leonardo.

Constructs and leads the commercial and contractual elements of the governance deliverables, including but not limited to developing negotiation strategies and obligations registers that identify the key business, contractual and commercial business risks.

Supports negotiations with potential customers and/or in relation to large or complex tenders and prepare or review, as required, various commercial agreements, such as NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, etc.

As appropriate, supports and guide the Commercial team to achieve the goals of the business.

Responsible for ensuring business approvals within delegated authority and managing those requiring escalation due to complexity or value.

The successful candidate will:

Will support our bid and tender activity in our Defence account

SC clearance

Protect the commercial interests, including protection of IP, across a diverse portfolio of opportunities and contracts;

Guide and support to the bid and programme teams to manage the customer dependencies and CSSD deliverables against respective commitments and obligations;

Identify opportunities for improved business performance by working alongside the bid and programme teams

Work with Procurement to manage supply chain related risk and supply chain initiated contract variations to ensure end to end contractual obligations are well managed.

Skills

Possesses an advanced knowledge and experience as a commercial / contracts advisor/manager;

Requires technical training to degree standard, professional qualification and/or significant domain experience.

Understanding of the Defence sector including Cyber and Data where applicable.
