A leading main contractor delivering high-value industrial and logistics projects is seeking an experienced External Site Manager to take ownership of the external works and envelope delivery on large-scale industrial schemes.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in steel frame industrial units and external fit-out, particularly those who have progressed from working with large subcontractors involved in structural steel, cladding, or civils packages.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the external envelope, including:
Steel frame erection
Cladding, roofing, and curtain walling
External civils: drainage, hardstandings, roadways, kerbs, and landscaping
Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
Lead and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and adherence to programme
Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to manage logistics, sequencing, and progress
Enforce health & safety compliance across all external operations
Liaise with design and engineering teams to resolve technical queries on-site

Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience managing external works on large steel frame industrial units, such as warehouses or logistics centres
Background with tier 1 subcontractors or envelope/civils specialists highly desirable
Strong knowledge of steelwork erection, cladding, drainage, and external finishes
Capable of managing multiple subcontract packages and coordinating complex site logistics
SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), First Aid
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
