The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established, highly respected SME roofing and cladding contractor that has seen significant growth in demand for the services they provide. Built on passion for the industry and pride in delivery, the business has developed an enviable market reputation and a strong forward pipeline of work.
Due to an internal promotion, they are now looking to succession plan by appointing a dedicated Senior Contracts Manager who can take full ownership of project delivery (project values of c£1-5 million) and help maintain and enhance our Clients reputation for excellence.
This is a role for someone who wants real accountability, autonomy, and the chance to be recognised as an expert in their field – not just another number in a large organisation.
The Role
- Full responsibility for 3–5 live, high-value roofing and cladding projects at any one time
- Projects are substantial, well-planned schemes – not dozens of small reactive jobs
- Predominantly Midlands-based projects, with no expectation of regular overnight stays
- Reporting directly to an Operations Director who has progressed through the industry as a Contracts Manager and is genuinely passionate about delivery
- Working closely with site teams, design, commercial and finance departments
- Playing a key role in shaping the future success of a growing SME
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within a roofing and cladding subcontracting environment
- Strong background delivering projects for Tier 1 main contractors

Excellent technical knowledge of:
* Flat Roofing – Felt, Single Ply, Hot Melt
* Cladding Systems – Rainscreen, built-up systems, composite panels, standing seam and more - Experience managing large-scale, high-value projects (£1m–£3m)
- A strong leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to a zero-harm culture, quality delivery, profitability and client satisfaction
- Ability to support design teams, oversee site managers and supervisors, and liaise across departments
- UK industry experience is essential
- Ideally based within an hour of the Midlands and surrounding areas
