We are now looking for a reliable and proactive Waste Operative to support day-to-day operations at our busy Gloucester site.

Role Overview:

As a Waste Operative, you will play an essential part in keeping the site running smoothly. You will be responsible for sorting, handling, and processing waste materials safely and efficiently, supporting machine operators, and ensuring the site remains clean, organised, and compliant with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely sort, handle, and process incoming waste materials
• Assist with separating recyclables and removing contaminants
• Support plant and machinery operators as required
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across the site
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Conduct basic checks on PPE and tools
• Communicate professionally with drivers, colleagues, and site staff
• Report any hazards, issues, or non-compliance to the management team

About You:

• Previous experience in waste, recycling, yard work, or labouring is an advantage
• Willingness to learn and undertake training
• Good work ethic and a proactive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
