Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Fitter
The role is to ensure assemblies are manufactured correctly to specification and on time.
- To fit and assemble machine parts accurately to engineering drawing.
- To accurately fit sub assembly parts using engineering drawings.
- Use hand tools and power tools to fit and assemble components.
- Use engineering measuring equipment where necessary to ensure components are to specification.
- Strip / prepare machines
- Install machines at customer sites as necessary
- Ensure safe systems of work are always adhered to and ensure any issues are reported immediately to management.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and stored safely.
Qualifications & Requirements - Mechanical Fitter
- Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline
- Proven ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
- Pneumatics and Hydraulic knowledge advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills
