Project Support Engineer
Cheltenham
Project Support Engineer
Fulltime - £35,000 - Cheltenham - 37.5 hours weekly.
Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has become available. The project Support engineer will be responsible for providing support to the design function within the R&D team, improving existing and introducing new products to market.
The role:
* Provision of NPI CAD and documentational support
* Conduct CPI activities for existing product platforms and bespoke customer requirements
* Provision of ERP systems support on NPI and CPI creation and maintenance
* Provision of technical support to internal & external customers
* Assist on test setup and recording of performance
* Ensure all assigned relevant aspects of the Gateway Innovation Process are met.
* Support in creation of Technical Product Support Information
* Respond to Technical enquiries
* Validation of design (through prototype and production product testing)
* Support successful review and implementation of VAVE activities
* Identification and promotion of best practices and methodology for departmental processes.
* To maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
* Ensure completion of all relevant compliance training and procedures. Help and assist other team members outside of individual tasks.
* Ensure adherence to company Health & Safety requirements and housekeeping standards.
The Person:
* Experience in design or manufacturing support role.
* HNC/HND qualification in design/mechanical engineering or related discipline.
* 3D CAD (Solidworks - Desirable)
* Experience of PLM system (Team Centre - Desirable)
* Experience of MRP/ERP system (Microsoft AX - Desirable)
* Competency utilising MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint
* Hands on engineering skills and competency with power tools
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Good communicator and team player, with a calm and approachable nature. Also, the ability to prioritise workload and commit to business deadlines
