Intermediate & Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Bristol or Remote

A well-established building services business specialising in low-carbon energy systems and heat network design is expanding its mechanical team. With a growing portfolio of high-impact energy projects across the UK, including city-scale heat networks and complex energy centres, the team is looking to bring in skilled engineers to support ongoing delivery and future growth.

Projects span sectors such as healthcare, education, and high end commercial, with major schemes underway or planned in many major UK cities including Bristol, London and Nottingham.

The Opportunity:

We are recruiting for an Intermediate and Senior Mechanical Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis. The role can be based either remotely or from the Bristol office with the option for hybrid working.

  • Intermediate Mechanical Engineer: A hands-on role developing technical design skills while contributing to major energy centre and district heating projects.
  • Senior Mechanical Engineer: Lead technical delivery, manage client interaction, and support junior engineers across a growing portfolio of heat infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting/leading the mechanical design of district heating systems, energy centres and plant rooms across residential and commercial projects.
  • Work on detailed layouts, schematics, and coordination of plantroom and low-carbon heating systems.
  • Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, and in-house teams to ensure smooth delivery from concept through to completion.

What We Offer:

  • Intermediate: £35,000 £45,000 (DOE)
  • Senior: £45,000 £60,000 (DOE)
  • Fully remote option or office-based in Bristol.
