Sales Office Manager – Lead, Motivate, Deliver
We are seeking a professional and experienced Sales Office Manager to lead our Sales Office team at our Head Office in Tewkesbury. This is a pivotal role, overseeing the smooth running of all incoming customer orders while driving service levels and ensuring first-class support for both customers and internal teams.
As the first point of contact for key wholesale accounts, you will build and maintain strong relationships while ensuring every order is processed accurately and on time. You’ll also be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing your team, embedding best practices, and ensuring our customer service is recognised as first class across the industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Sales Office team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
• Oversee accurate order processing, deliveries, and invoicing.
• Maintain and update customer databases and pricing files.
• Build strong relationships with key wholesale accounts as first-line contact.
• Monitor and report on customer service KPIs, identifying and driving improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis of customer complaints and implement preventative measures.
• Liaise closely with Sales, Marketing, Production, and other departments to ensure service excellence.
• Support and cover Sales Office operations as required in a fast-paced environment.
About You
• Proven experience as an Office Manager, Customer Service Manager, Sales Office Manager or similar role within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a comparable sector.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, lead and engage teams.
• Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Confident decision-maker with strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Customer-focused with a proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
• Trustworthy, self-motivated, and aligned with strong professional values.
