Senior Ranger

Cainscross Town Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Town Ranger, to lead maintenance, development and day-to-day management of the Council’s green spaces, buildings and assets.

This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours per week) with responsibility for supervising other ground staff, liaising with contractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining high standards across all Council-owned green spaces and assets. The post includes hands-on work, staff leadership, planning, inspections, reporting and community engagement.

Salary: NJC Scale 2 SCP 18 - £31,537 (plus annual pay rise as awarded by NJC)
Contract: Permanent

Location: Cainscross, Stroud

The successful candidate should have a strong a commitment to delivering safe, welcoming and well-maintained public spaces, excellent organisational and communication skills, good general maintenance and grounds maintenance skills. It is also important that the successful applicant is competent in the use of IT and has good written skills.
