The Role
We are looking for a permanent Logistics Manager to manage the Samples and Post operations in Cheltenham. Leading a team to deliver a first-class service for shipments into or out of Head Office, as well as managing the Samples library to keep track of all products within the business and ensuring SMS products are managed through the warehouse and out to Global Showrooms in line with the Wholesale seasonal selling window.
You Will
- Lead and develop a team of 3 permanent employees, scaling up to 8 during peak season, with accountability for managing an annual payroll budget of approximately £100k.
- Ensure a safe and compliant working environment by enforcing warehouse health & safety standards, including the operation of mechanical handling equipment and coordination of required building maintenance.
- Oversee the Post Team to ensure timely internal distribution of mail and parcels, and efficient processing of all outbound post and shipments.
- Manage the Samples Team, ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of approximately 500,000 product samples annually to internal and external stakeholders, while driving operational efficiencies through continuous improvement of WMS and WCS software.
- Coordinate and manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers in Belgium to support global sample distribution operations.
- Lead the Samples Administration Team to ensure import and export shipments are processed efficiently, with accurate documentation and full customs compliance.
- Oversee invoicing processes for SMS products supplied to external showrooms, supporting revenue generation within the Wholesale division.
- Produce and deliver regular reporting on seasonal SMS progress to senior stakeholders across Wholesale, Production, and Logistics functions.
- Manage the Samples Library Team to deliver a high-quality, efficient service to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage parcel carrier performance against operational KPIs, overseeing an annual spend exceeding £0.7m and leading tender processes at a minimum of every two years.
- Provide logistical planning, resources, and operational support for internal and external business events as required.

- Able to lead, motivate, and develop a team to deliver high-quality service to the wider business.
- Proficient in building and maintaining cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders.
- An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Resilient and able to perform under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Detail orientated, ensuring accuracy in all areas of work.
- Able to display strong negotiation skills with experience managing third-party service providers.
- Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of global customs procedures and compliance requirements.
- Analytical with strong numerical and data interpretation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
