We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in Cheltenham.

The Role:

Workshop Supervisor / Production Coordinator

This newly created, hands-on position will see you leading the day-to-day operations of our engineering workshop. As Workshop Supervisor / Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacture and assembly of our products, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards in quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the manufacture and assembly of equipment to meet required quality standards.
  • Allocate workloads and coordinate daily schedules based on production priorities.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely availability of components and materials.
  • Maintain a well-organised, clean, and safe workshop environment, including tools and work areas.
  • Oversee regular maintenance and servicing of all workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of workshop activities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and high housekeeping standards within the team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years’ recent supervisory experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing role.
  • Hands-on experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or time-served experience as a mechanic or electrician.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Calm and confident when dealing with challenges.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and independent decision-making ability.
  • IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required to meet production goals.
