Senior Studio Engineer
Gloucester
Location: The Music Works – Gloucester Hub, Gloucester based, but with expectation to work across our sites in the Forest of Dean and on our portable music studio, the Music Bus.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours a week) although applications from candidates seeking part-time hours or a job-share arrangement will be considered for the right candidate(s).
Salary: £26,800 – £33,000pa
Reports to: Facilities Manager
About The Music Works
The Music Works is a Gloucestershire charity that transforms young lives through music. We’re specialists in working with young people (age 8-30) in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning and in life. We work with over 3,000 young people a year in schools and our four community studios in Gloucester, and the Forest of Dean. Our approach is youth-led, with young people involved at every stage of planning and delivery.
About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to oversee operations for The Music Works’ recording studios and music technology provision. The post-holder will be accountable for the development, delivery, and evaluation of studio activity, ensuring it contributes directly to organisational objectives, income generation, and positive outcomes for young people. The role will lead resources, staff, freelancers, partnerships, and commercial opportunities while maintaining high standards of recording studio practice and customer experience.
