The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the exceptionally high standards our clients expect.
Working closely with the Director, Quantity Surveyor, subcontractors and clients, you will oversee every aspect of site operations while maintaining excellent communication and ensuring the highest levels of workmanship, quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites from commencement through to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour to ensure work progresses efficiently and in accordance with the project programme.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Plan and manage site activities to maintain programme and maximise productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Enforce all Health & Safety legislation and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Organise site logistics, deliveries, plant and materials to ensure works progress efficiently.
- Liaise with the Director, Quantity Surveyor, clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the project.
- Resolve site issues quickly and effectively to minimise delays and maintain project momentum.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily site diaries, Health & Safety documentation and progress reports.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Ensure every completed project reflects the exceptional standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail for which the company is known.
About You
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing high-quality construction projects and possess excellent leadership and organisational skills. You will be proactive, commercially aware and committed to delivering projects to an exceptional standard.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
- Experience delivering high-quality residential refurbishment or bespoke residential projects.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
- Thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
- Ability to manage subcontractors, programmes and site resources effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
