We deliver training to over 10,000 candidates a year in Health & Safety, Construction, Plant Machinery, Lifting Operations, Transport and Civil Engineering disciplines to all industry sectors. We design and deliver high-quality bespoke training courses and development programmes to a UK wide client base.
The Operations Manager is the pivotal professional responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the administration processes and building, nurturing, and maintaining long-term partnerships with clients to ensure satisfaction whilst driving business growth. Acting as a bridge between the client and the company, they must deeply understand client needs and align them with the company’s professional services.
This role is a key position in the management team and must maintain a clear synergy between the inward focus of administration and the outward focus of client satisfaction, and growth in the customer base. It will oversee internal operations of the administration processes required for the organisation of course delivery, including staff supervision and process improvements to ensure efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Motivate, train, and supervise administrative personnel.
• Operational Management: Oversee order processing, customer service, and ensure internal procedures are strictly followed.
• Process Support: Maintain CRM/ERP systems, process quotations, and handle order progression from enquiry to delivery.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyse performance reports, opportunity reports and forecasting weekly/monthly figures for Directors.
• Customer Relationship Management: Act as a main point of contact for client concerns or complex enquiries.
• Process Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements to administration systems to increase productivity and efficiency.
Essential Requirements
• Experience: Proven management experience (2+ years) in a fast-paced administrative, or customer service role.
• IT Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and CRM/ERP software.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication for building client relationships and team leadership.
• Organisation: Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
• Problem-solving: Highly analytical with critical thinking skills.

Qualifications
• Relevant experience is considered more critical than formal education, though a background in business management is beneficial.

Salary: Starting Salary: circa £35K D.O.E.
Hours Per Week: 08.30 to 17.00 Monday - Friday
