CNC Machine Operator
Tewkesbury
We are recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator to join a busy precision engineering company. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC turning or milling machines to manufacture high-quality batch and one-off precision components.
Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 7am – 5pm
• May consider part time for right candidate
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
• Operate CNC turning & milling machinery.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Select appropriate tooling and machine offsets.
• Run machines efficiently to maximise productivity.
• Carry out basic quality checks on finished parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively within the production team.
Skills & Experience
• Previous CNC Turning/milling experience.
• Fanuc/Siemens controls experience preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Turning and milling knowledge.
• Experience within a precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing environment.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification desirable.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Candidates with button-pushing/operator experience who are eager to progress into setting will also be considered.
