CNC Turner

Position: CNC Turner
Location: Truro
Type of work: perm
Salary: £28000 to £33462
Working hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 6:30 am to 16:30 (every Friday off)
We are now seeking to recruit CNC setter to work for a busy engineering company based in Truro. The appropriate CNC machinist will have previous experience in setting and operating CNC lathes machines, machining heavy automotive parts.
Responsibilities:
* Setting / Operating CNC turning machines within the standard set and run times
* Monitor machining operations and make minor adjustments as required
* Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres, gauges)
* Interpret engineering drawings and follow production documentation
* Maintain and clean, organise safe working areas
Responsibilities:
* Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator within a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of Mazak, Fanuc and/or Siemens control systems
* Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings
* Good knowledge of machining processes and materials
* Competence using measuring equipment
